18th Street Lounge, a new lounge in Jos, Plateau State, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chef

Location: Jos, Plateau
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement a variety of local and continental dishes that align with the restaurant’s vision and customer preferences.
• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes that meet the restaurant’s standards of taste, presentation, and hygiene.
• Ensure consistency in food preparation by following recipes and maintaining portion control.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure efficiency, teamwork, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the purchasing department to maintain stock of ingredients and supplies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef, specializing in both local and continental cuisines.
• Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Creative and passionate about food and customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
