Federal College of Education, Gidan Madi (FCEGM) was established in 2019 by Federal Government of Nigeria. The College is located in the ancient city of Gidan Madi, Tangaza Local Governmnt and Its Motto is "Learning for Self Relience". The college is committed to the production of teachers with the intellectual and professional background adequate for their assignment and to make them adaptable to any changing situation not only in the life of their country but also in the world.

Job Description

• The Registrar is a Principal Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of the College.
• He is responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administration of the Institution.
• He is the Secretary to the Governing Council, Academic Board, and to all other Statutory Committees in the College.
• The Registrar is responsible for keeping all records in the Institution.
• Interpreting extant rules
• Performing any other related duty that may be assigned occasionally.

Qualifications and Experience

• A good honors Degree from a recognized Institution of higher learning in Arts /Social Science plus at least 18 years cognate experience or a holder of a Master of Arts / Social Science Degree plus at least 15 years cognate experience.
• Possession of practical knowledge in Information Communication Technology (ICT), Good writing and Communication skills, and membership in a relevant professional body.
• Prospective candidate must have been a Deputy Registrar on CONTEDISS 15 in a Tertiary Institution in Nigeria.
• A successful candidate must not be above 59 years of age at the time of assumption of duty.

Salary and Terms of Appointment

• The terms and conditions of appointment of Registrar are as obtainable
• Federal Colleges of Education Condition of Service system.
• The appointment shall be for a single tenure of 5 years term and not renewable.
