Job Title: Head of Capital Management

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• The Head of Capital Management leads the bank’s finance-sourcing activities.
• This role requires anexpansive relationship with financing parties, Development Finance Institutions, and Capital Market Operators as well as technical expertise in infrastructure and project finance.
• The role reports to the Chief Investment Officer and directly supervises the Heads of Capital Markets, Treasury, Climate Financing, andFinancial Advisory.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Bank’s funding plan to attract different types of funding towards funding the bank’s investments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and funding partners including banks, development finance institutions, multilateral parties, and government officials towards developing and implementing investment funding plans for the Bank.
• Strong performance of capital management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Construction, or other relevant disciplines.
• Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in finance, particularly in roles related to capital management, investment banking, financial advisory, or corporate finance.
• A professional accounting or finance certification e.g. ICAN, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, CIS, or equivalent is required.
• A track record of developing and implementing strategic initiatives to optimize capital allocation, enhance profitability, and mitigate risks.
• Experience with international capital markets or global financial regulations.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, andindustry standards governing capital adequacy and liquidity.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, risk assessment, and capital planning.
• Experience in strategic thinking, operational planning, and execution.
• Understanding of corporate governance principles and ethical standards in finance.
• Familiarity with financial technology and tools for capital management.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
