The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will play a critical role in aligning HR strategies with business goals.
As a trusted advisor, you will partner closely with the leadership team and key stakeholders to foster a high-performance culture, improve employee engagement, and drive talent development initiatives.
Your expertise will help shape the people strategy as we scale our operations, ensuring we attract, develop, and retain top talent in the competitive tech industry.

Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership:
Collaborate with leadership and department heads to understand business objectives and provide HR guidance aligned with the company's goals.
Develop and implement HR strategies that promote organizational growth, employee engagement, and operational excellence.
Act as a key influencer in decision-making processes related to talent management, workforce planning, and organizational development.
Talent Acquisition & Retention:
Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, focusing on attracting top talent in the IT and technology sector.
Work closely with hiring managers to design talent pipelines and onboarding programs that foster long-term employee success.
Lead initiatives aimed at improving employee retention and reducing turnover rates.
Performance Management & Development:
Design and implement effective performance management systems, ensuring that employees and teams meet or exceed business objectives.
Drive leadership development programs and succession planning efforts to ensure a strong leadership pipeline.
Provide coaching and mentorship to managers and team leads on best practices for managing performance and developing teams.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, resolving conflicts, and addressing concerns in a timely and effective manner.
Create and implement strategies to improve employee engagement and foster a positive, inclusive work environment.
Conduct employee satisfaction surveys, analyze results, and drive action plans to address areas of concern.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure all HR activities and policies comply with Nigerian labor laws and regulations, as well as global best practices.
Manage employee records, contracts, and HR documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
Partner with the legal team to mitigate risk and handle sensitive matters such as disciplinary actions or terminations.
HR Metrics & Reporting:
Track and analyze key HR metrics (e.g., turnover, recruitment effectiveness, employee satisfaction) to guide decision-making.
Present regular reports to senior management with recommendations on how to improve HR processes and outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CIPM, CIPD, or SHRM is a plus).
Minimum of 6-8 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a similar HR Business Partner role in the technology or IT industry.
Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the unique HR challenges and opportunities in the tech and IT sector, with experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS systems, applicant tracking software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and develop teams.
Problem Solving: Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics.
Cultural Awareness: Experience working in a multicultural, geographically dispersed team, with a deep understanding of Nigeria's labor market and business environment.
