About The Role

• The Director of Sales and Marketing plays a fundamental role in driving the business growth and brand visibility of a company, especially within the hospitality industry.
• This position requires strategic oversight of both sales and marketing initiatives to ensure revenue targets are met and the brand remains competitive in the market.

Roles And Responsibilities

• The efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt’s Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations.
• Defining target markets and developing a comprehensive pre-opening sales and marketing strategy.
• Leading efforts to build awareness of the hotel through digital marketing, public relations, and partnerships with local tourism boards, influencers, and media.
• Recruit, train, and lead the sales and marketing team, ensuring they are aligned with the hotel’s pre-opening goals.
• Set up sales processes, strategies, and targets for the team to secure initial bookings (corporate contracts, group bookings, events, etc.
• Build relationships with local businesses, corporations, travel agencies, tour operators, event planners, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Lead the development of the hotel’s online presence, including website, social media channels, and online travel agencies (OTAs).
• Work closely with the hotel’s General Manager and operations team to ensure that the guest experience matches the promises made through marketing.
• After opening, monitor the performance of all sales and marketing efforts, adapting strategies as needed to ensure continued growth.
• Build and nurture long-term customer relationships to drive repeat business and loyalty.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Director of Sales and Marketing or similar position
• Pre-Opening experience is an advantage
• Knowledge of the local market is essential
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
• Expertise in market analysis, strategic planning, and revenue management.
• Excellent communication and networking skills.
• Digital marketing proficiency, including online sales channels and social media.
