PaddyCover works with established insurers and customer aggregators to design and offer bespoke products via a multi-channel platform that facilitates flexible and convenient payment for insurance packages. Our focus is to adopt and distribute key Insurance products e.g. Life and Health & Wellbeing Insurance - amongst others - as a means of building a model of prevention towards risk & strengthening resilience in our addressable market.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Full-stack Developer

Location: Yaba, Sabo - Lagos

Description

• As a mid-level developer, your duties will include interpreting and analyzing project specifications, writing clean, secure, and efficient codes, and testing and troubleshooting the Laravel applications and databases.
• Our ideal candidate must have mid-level knowledge and undertanding of PHP, HTML, CSS and JS.
• Our ideal candidate is a problem-solver, one that writes high-quality, functional and optimised code requiring little or no changes and also the willingness to learn and improve continuously.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and implementing new features and functionality for Laravel-based applications.
• Design and develop complex features and components of the software.
• Design and develop sensitive features and components of the software.
• Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to best practices, and knowledge sharing.
• Provide constructive feedback to peers and receive feedback on their code.
• Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
• Sharing knowledge and best practices to help team members grow professionally.
• Break down business requirements into specific and smaller tasks.
• Participate in the planning and design of new features and applications.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 2 - 3 years proven work experience as a Laravel Developer or similar role.
• Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable PHP code and strong knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming.
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
• Understanding of accessibility and security compliance
• Advanced understanding of database engines.
• Advanced proficiency in data structures and algorithms.
• Ability to convey technical ideas in a clear, logical fashion.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

Salary
N220,000 - N250,000 / Month.
