Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) is one of the largest oil producers in Nigeria and one of its largest investors. In Nigeria, we operate under a joint-venture arrangement with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) for the onshore and offshore assets in the Niger Delta region.
Chevron also has extensive interests in multipartner deepwater operations. We operate the Agbami Field, one of Nigeria’s largest deepwater discoveries. We also have a nonoperated interest in the Usan Field.
This role leads equipment reliability improvement efforts for assets associated with oil and gas extraction, processing and shipment.
Leverages industry standards, reliability work process to investigates root causes of equipment failures.
Develops failure modes and effects for equipment and establishes key performance indicators which benchmarks equipment performance against world-class standards in reliability and availability.
Analyzes data, performs reliability studies and trains/mentors operations and maintenance personnel in reliability work processes.
Key Responsibilities
Implements and oversees predictive maintenance programs by utilizing data analysis and condition monitoring techniques (vibration analysis, thermography, and ultrasonic testing) to forecast equipment failures and schedule timely maintenance.
Extracts and analyzes data from various sources, including operational performance metrics, to drive reliability improvements. Manages equipment health indicators and performance metrics, such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).
Conducts root cause analysis to identify sources of equipment failures.
Identifies equipment failure modes and effects/consequences.
Develops equipment specific asset strategies using reliability centered maintenance principles.
Establishes metrics that measures equipment performance improvement.
Creates and implements reliability plans that improves equipment performance.
Manages and utilizes a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), specifically JDE Edwards E1, to streamline maintenance operations.
