Job Title: Farm Attendant - Crop Farming

Job Summary

• We seek a diligent and reliable Farm Attendant to assist in the daily operations of our crop farm.
• The successful candidate will ensure optimal crop growth, maintenance, and harvesting while adhering to farm protocols and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Field Operations:
Planting and Sowing:

• Prepare soil for planting.
• Plant seeds, seedlings, or transplants.

Crop Maintenance:

• Irrigate crops.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides.
• Monitor crop health; report pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.

Harvesting:

• Hand-pick or operate machinery for harvesting.
• Handle produce with care to minimize damage.

Farm Maintenance:
Equipment and Tools:

• Clean and maintain farm equipment, tools, and machinery.
• Report mechanical issues promptly.

Farm Infrastructure:

• Maintain farm roads, irrigation systems, and drainage.
• Assist in repairs and maintenance of farm structures.

Compliance and Safety:

• Adhere to farm rules, regulations, and supervisors' instructions.
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Report accidents/incidents promptly.

Record Keeping and Miscellaneous:

• Maintain accurate records of planting, irrigation, fertilization, and harvesting.
• Assist with inventory management.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve farm goals.

Requirements

• 1 - 2 years of experience in crop farming or agriculture.
• Basic knowledge of crop management, soil science, and irrigation systems.
• Physical stamina for manual labor in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
