Job Description
As the General Manager, Sales, you will prepare and execute sales strategies to achieve business targets, onboard new clients, manage accounts, and expand operations in assigned regions.
You will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with channel partners and investors, strategizing for product positioning and launch, and maximizing sales revenue and profitability.
Accountabilities (Responsibilities)
Sales Strategy And Execution Responsibilities:
Prepare & execute sales strategy for achieving the assigned business targets.
Acquire new clients, manage accounts, and expand operations in assigned regions.
Build and Maintain relationships with clients and key contact individuals, presenting them with new product and business options especially for upstream Oil and Gas Sector, NOCs and IOCs.
Position projects, project revenue, and analyse profit through ongoing market research and pricing to achieve sales and collection targets.
Strategize for new product positioning & launch, develop marketing budgets & sales flow in consultation with top management.
Maximize sales revenue and project profitability across all projects while minimizing business risks.
Conceptualize and implement new schemes & promotional offers to increase sales velocity.
Guide the preparation of sales pitches for the sales team to close maximum transactions.
Manage direct sales through a large team of young & middle-level sales professionals.
Team Leadership And Development:
Lead and mentor a sales team, providing guidance and support to ensure high levels of competence.
Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the sales department.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to ensure high-performance standards are met.
Reporting And Communication:
Prepare clear and concise sales reports detailing performance metrics, strategies, and action plans.
Present sales strategies and performance reports to senior management.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure understanding of sales initiatives and facilitate timely resolution of issues.
Client And Stakeholder Management:
Maintain cordial relations with all internal & external stakeholders and manage their expectations.
Review and ensure proper execution & documentation of applications, agreements, and allocations.
Required Qualifications & Experience
First degree from a reputable institution.
MBA and professional qualification from a reputed institute.
Profound, and verifiable target crusher, with a track record of exceeding high financial targets. (COMPULSORY)
Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and business development.
Vast contact network in the Upstream Oil and Gas sector, IOCs and NOcs. (COMPULSORY)
Excellent communication, managerial, and negotiating skills.
Problem-solving skills, strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
Salary Range
N800,000 - N1,000,000 monthly, Net.
