Job Overview
Our client is sourcing for the position of a Tender and Bid Specialist.
The T&BS is responsible for sourcing, preparing, and submitting contract bids, with a primary focus on government tenders related to manpower training, capacity building, and social contracts.
The specialist will be expected to manage the full tender process, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual requirements, and demonstrate a proven track record of winning government contracts.
Core Responsibilities
Tender and Bid Management:
Identify and assess tender opportunities, particularly in government sectors such as manpower training and capacity building.
Prepare and submit tenders, ensuring that bids are compliant, competitive, and aligned with company capabilities and objectives.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather relevant information and ensure bid proposals are well-constructed.
Contract Sourcing and Management:
Source contract opportunities through government portals, partnerships, and networking with decision-makers.
Review contract terms and ensure proper compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
Manage contract negotiations and modifications in alignment with client and company expectations.
Technical Competence and Proposal Writing:
Draft comprehensive technical proposals that demonstrate the company’s capacity in manpower training and capacity building.
Develop a clear, concise, and compelling case for winning contracts based on company strengths and client needs.
Ensure that all documentation is in line with government procurement processes and that key deadlines are met.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of contract activity, including bid submissions, approvals, rejections, and awarded contracts.
Track performance against set KPIs and provide feedback on bid success rates and opportunities for improvement.
Relationship Management:
Build strong relationships with government agencies, contractors, and relevant regulatory bodies.
Engage with key clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and position the company as a preferred partner for contracts.

Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in tendering, bid preparation, and contract sourcing in government sectors.
Proven track record of successful government contract awards related to manpower training and capacity building.
Technical Competencies:
Strong knowledge of government procurement processes and requirements in Nigeria.
Proficiency in preparing technical and financial proposals.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage contractual relationships.
Familiarity with bid management software and government portals for tenders.
Behavioral Skills:
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
High level of integrity and ethical standards.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Salary
N100,000 - N200,000 monthly
