Role Description
As a Sales Manager at Hydra, you will be responsible for leading the charge in expanding our EMR solution and other healthcare services to hospitals and healthcare facilities in Nigeria.
You will manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing, onboarding hospitals, and ensuring that healthcare providers maximize the use of Hydra’s comprehensive healthcare management platform.
This role requires a blend of strong sales capabilities, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of healthcare operations.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development: Drive revenue growth by selling Hydra’s EMR and healthcare management solutions to hospitals, clinics, and healthcare providers across Nigeria.
Onboarding & Client Success: Lead the end-to-end onboarding process for new hospital clients, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal utilization of Hydra’s solutions.
Account Management: Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with healthcare providers to ensure client satisfaction, upsell opportunities, and retention.
Market Expansion: Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and expand Hydra’s footprint within the Nigerian healthcare ecosystem.
Team Leadership: Manage a growing sales team, provide coaching, and set performance targets to drive overall team success.
Strategic Sales Planning: Identify new business opportunities and create tailored sales strategies to achieve Hydra’s quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to align sales goals with the company’s strategic direction and ensure feedback from clients is integrated into product development.
Key Metrics & KPIs:
Revenue Growth: Meet quarterly and annual sales targets, driving revenue through new and existing clients.
Client Acquisition: Onboard a minimum of 10 new hospitals or healthcare facilities per quarter.
Customer Retention: Achieve a customer satisfaction rate of 90% or higher through exceptional account management and post-sales support.
Sales Cycle Efficiency: Maintain an average sales cycle of 30 days or less from lead generation to contract signing.
Team Performance: Ensure that all team members meet or exceed their individual sales targets.
Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
Proven Sales Success: 5+ years of experience in sales or business development roles within healthcare, technology, or related industries, with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Healthcare Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of healthcare operations, EMR solutions, and experience working with hospitals or clinics is a plus.
Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships with C-suite executives, hospital administrators, and healthcare professionals.
Strategic Sales Ability: Experience developing and implementing sales strategies to drive market penetration and revenue growth.
Leadership & Team Management: Demonstrated experience in managing and developing high-performing sales teams.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies and forecasts.
Communication & Negotiation Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present complex solutions to key stakeholders.
Adaptability & Initiative: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and take initiative in driving business outcomes.
