R-DATS Consulting (‘R-DATS’) is a research, evaluation, data collection and statistical services firm. R-DATS uses advanced and innovative research, evaluation, and statistical methods to gather high-quality data and generate strong evidence for impact and improved policy decisions. We support both local and international organizations, businesses, government ministries and agencies, and non-profits. The research, evaluation and data processing activities at R-DATS Consulting are guided by core ethical principles and data privacy standards of our organization, the organization we work for and the country where we are to carry out the assignments.
Sectors of Research Interest: Health, WASH, Food Security and Nutrition, Education, Peace and Reconciliation, Green Energy, financial Inclusion and Consumer Protection and Humanitarian efforts.
Support the Implementation of R-DATS project development, proposal writing, research, monitoring, and evaluation activities. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain extensive handsāon experience in research, survey, project development and data management.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support business opportunity identification and EOI development.
Support timely, quality research proposal submissions.
Serve as primary proposal writer, polish technical content into proposals.
Maintain clients, consultants and partners relationship, update R-DATS' databases regularly.
Manage bid queries and coordinate appropriate responses.
Review bid's qualitative, technical checklist with supervisors.
Support research projects execution and management including surveys, data analysis (quantitative or qualitative), report writing, etc. as may be required.
Support research, M&E and field survey management efforts in the organizations
Work with R-DATS team to develop reports and blogs, collate, and disseminate success stories and lessons learnt.
Support in planning on-going day-to-day research activity within the framework of ongoing projects implementation plans.
Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Qualifications / Skills
Master’s Degree in Public Health, Statistics, Economics, Sociology, Demography, Psychology or other development related studies, from a reputable national/international university.
Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years of relevant experiences may be considered in place of MSc. degree.
Master’s Degree Graduate Internship
Desired Qualifications / Skills (Not mandatory)
Excellent writing and analytical skills. Strong attention to details and willingness to take initiative is desirable.
Strong background in quantitative and/or qualitative research will serve as an advantage.
Prior experience managing complex quantitative and /or qualitative data collections, a strong advantage.
Familiarity with contemporary statistical and qualitative data analysis software preferred (i.e. Stata, R, SPSS, Python, R, NVIVO, ATLAS Ti, PowerBI, MS Excel etc.).
Prior experience in business development or proposal management, ideally in corporate sector/INGOS is an advantage.
Proven track record in supporting successful bid/proposal process is plus.
