Job Description
To carry out procurement for Offshore Facilities as required.
Responsibilities
Perform sourcing of materials and services.
Ensure compliance with the company’s Contracts & Procurement policies, guidelines, and processes.
Perform procurement-related transactions in the Sage procurement module.
Work with offshore facilities to ensure correct product descriptions are entered into Maximo.
Receive requisitions, review, and work with end users to confirm specifications and scopes of work for recurring, complex, or unique procurement services or supplies.
Create bid packages, request for quotation (RFQ)/request for proposals (RFP)/and request for information (RFI) as appropriate.
Prepare requests to Bid Committees for appropriate approval based on the financial exposure of the order under consideration.
Select/propose bidders list and issue bid package.
Participate in and facilitate technical bid clarifications with bidders and end users when required.
Analyze the bidder’s proposals for responsiveness to RFQ, evaluating factors such as the bidder’s exceptions to the Company’s standard commercial terms and conditions, price, delivery time and place, financial status, quality control, and shipping.
Assist or conduct commercial negotiations with bidders.
Ensure that offers provide value for money for the company.
Complete the bid evaluation package and recommend the vendor to Supervisor for approval.
Prepare Purchase Orders/Call-offs using the Sage Procurement module.
Monitor the Sage system for late or undelivered orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery. Follow up with suppliers proactively for critical orders.
The interface between supplier and end-user on any issues on orders.
Store procurement documents and maintain auditable records of requisition and bid documents and the contract in SharePoint.
Prepare reports of activities.
Check the registration status of bidders.

Requirements
BA/BS degree or HND in an Engineering discipline, Business or Accounting
Membership in an appropriate Professional organization
3 – 5 years of procurement experience preferably in the oil and gas industry.
Understanding of the upstream oil and gas industry including offshore operations.
Ability to understand technical details of technical purchases in the oil and gas industry.
Proficient in the application of procurement terms relating to Purchase Orders.
Excellent mathematical skills | Strong written and verbal communication skills | A high level of integrity is essential
Must be a Team Player | Accuracy and attention to detail are critical | Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities
Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
The ability to use Business Systems (Sage Procurement and Maximo) at an advanced level is an added advantage.
Shall be able to exhibit a physical competency in handling light lifting and other strenuous activities associated with this position.
