The Opportunity
At Roche Diagnostics in Nigeria, we are on the lookout for a passionate and strategic Key Account Manager, Diagnostics to join our dynamic team.
This pivotal role will encompass the development and execution of innovative sales strategies, targeting specific accounts and portfolios across designated regions in Nigeria.
You as our ideal candidate will excel in identifying, acquiring and nurturing sales opportunities, managing business operations within your assigned territories and will foster strong relationships with key executive decision makers.
The ultimate goal is to enhance Roche Diagnostics' market share, all while adhering to our strict code of conduct.
Key Challenges
Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer engagement matters within an assigned territory
Build and maintain customer relationships through participation in Roche and industry events and engagement with executive decision-makers
Create and maintain customer account mapping, identifying stakeholders and decision-makers
Analyze sales data to identify trends and variances to drive business planning and growth
Develop product strategies tailored to customer needs and adjust strategies as required
Responsible for accurate forecasting, quarterly revenue delivery, and the implementation of account and business plans
Maintain effective internal relationships and alignments towards key account and portfolio strategies
Keep updated with relevant product, industry, and sector knowledge by engaging with market players and analyzing market trends
Territory and Account Management:
Develop and implement Territory, Account and portfolio strategies
Understand customer requirements
Collaborate with marketing to develop and implement product strategies
Secure new clients and expand relationships with existing clients
Identify and analyze sales opportunities
Develop and present proposals to customers
Engage with customers and conduct campaign events
Respond to sales-related queries and provide feedback to clients
Report on sales performance, analyze sales data, and identify trends
Achieve sales targets and monitor customer satisfaction
Administer the sales process and manage the CRM system
Support key account decision-makers and identify client requirements
Monitor client relationship health and implement corrective actions
Business Development & Sales:
Develop and implement a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction for the assigned territory
Identify and map business strengths and customer needs
Conduct research to explore new markets and expand the client base and income streams
Possess an in-depth understanding of business products and value propositions to address and predict clients' objectives effectively
Maintain records of sales, revenue, and invoices
Provide reliable feedback and after-sales support
Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
Report on successes and areas requiring improvement

Who you are as our ideal candidate:
You hold a Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or similar.
A Postgraduate Medical Lab Degree and Business Management qualification would be an advantage
You have at least 4 - 8 years’ experience in the IVD industry with at least 3 years experience in account management / sales within the region. Multi region experience across Nigeria, Liberia & Gambia is an advantage.
Candidates with account management experience in Tissue Diagnostics and / or Hematology and Blood Transfusion Medicine have a key advantage
You are able and willing to travel both locally and internationally.
