Job Title: Human Resource Manager
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, interviewing, and candidate selection.
Conduct background checks, reference checks, and negotiate employment offers.
Oversee onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
Employee Relations:
Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns and grievances, ensuring timely resolution.
Foster a positive work environment by maintaining good communication between employees and management.
Manage employee conflict resolution processes.
Provide guidance on company policies, workplace conduct, and disciplinary procedures.
Performance Management:
Develop and implement performance appraisal systems.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.
Work with department heads to set employee goals and monitor performance metrics.
Develop performance improvement plans (PIPs) for underperforming employees.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs and create training and development programs to improve employee skills.
Organize training sessions, workshops, and seminars for employees.
Develop succession planning and employee career development strategies.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and ensure alignment with business goals.
Compensation and Benefits:
Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
Manage payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate compensation.
Review and update compensation structures to remain competitive within the industry.
Advise on salary negotiations and annual compensation reviews.
HR Policy Development and Compliance:
Develop, update, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
Ensure compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
Handle employee contract renewals and terminations according to company policy.
Workplace Safety and Health:
Ensure a safe working environment by implementing workplace safety policies.
Conduct health and safety training for employees and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Manage occupational health issues and workplace injury reports.
Coordinate workers' compensation claims and insurance processes.
Employee Engagement and Retention:
Develop employee engagement programs to boost morale, satisfaction, and retention.
Organize team-building activities, wellness programs, and employee recognition initiatives.
Analyze employee turnover and develop strategies to reduce attrition.
Conduct employee surveys and analyze feedback to improve workplace culture.
HR Reporting and Metrics:
Prepare and present HR reports to management, highlighting key metrics such as employee turnover, absenteeism, and performance trends.
Use HR data analytics to drive informed decision-making and HR strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HR systems.
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and mentor HR staff, providing guidance and support.
Collaborate with department heads to ensure HR strategies align with business objectives.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on HR-related matters.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the HR department.
Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
A Master’s degree or HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, etc.) is an advantage.
Experience:
3-7 years of experience in HR management or related roles, depending on the size of the company.
Skills:
Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
