Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa was established by the Ondo State Government in 2008. The University was initially named as Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH), Okitipupa. The Ondo State Government changed the name of the University to Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH) in December, 2019. The University is a technology-based institution which aims at providing the needed manpower training in order to address the critical areas of industrial and technological development of Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole.

Job Title: University Librarian
Location: Okitipupa, Ondo
Job Responsibilites
The University Librarian is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the administration of the University Library and the coordination of all library services in the University and its campuses, colleges, schools and institutes and other teaching research units.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidate must possess a good Honours degree and Master's in Library and Information Science or a related field, from a recognised University.
Possession of a PhD degree will be an added advantage.
He/she must be certified by the Librarian’s Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN)
The candidate should possess and demonstrate skills including, Strategic Planning, Staff Management, Copyright and Intellectual Property, Financial Responsibility among others.
The Candidate must have at least fifteen (15) years of cognate experience in University Library services.
The candidate should not be below the rank of Deputy Librarian and must have served for at least three (3) years in the position.
A substantial number of scholarly publications (minimum of 20) in reputable international and national journals is required.
The candidate should not be more than Sixty-Five (65) years old at the time of assumption of duty.
Remuneration and Conditions of Service
The remuneration and other conditions of service are as applicable to the post of University Librarian in Nigerian Public Universities and as may be determined from time to time by the Ondo State Government and the University Governing Council.
