Job Title: Medical Sales Representative

Locations: Abuja (FCT), Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Enugu, Jigawa and Lagos
Reports to: Area Sales Manager / Regional Manager

Job Overview

• The Medical Sales Representative promotes pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals (HCPs), such as doctors, pharmacists, and nurses. The goal is to increase the prescription and usage of the company’s products, contributing to achieving the company’s sales targets and market share growth.

Key Responsibilities
Product Promotion:

• Promote and detail the company's pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals (doctors, pharmacists, etc.) through regular visits.
• Build in-depth knowledge of the product portfolio and ensure accurate and relevant information is communicated to HCPs.

Sales Achievement:

• Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives within the assigned territory.
• Develop and implement territory business plans to maximize product reach and market potential.

Customer Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and hospital pharmacists.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing queries, resolving complaints, and providing after-sales service.

Market Intelligence:

• Gather market insights, competitor information, and feedback from HCPs to guide product development and marketing strategies.
• Regularly report on market conditions, competitor activities, and customer feedback to management.

Compliance:

• Ensure all promotional activities and interactions with healthcare professionals are compliant with industry regulations, ethical guidelines, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of sales visits and customer interactions.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related fields
• Experience: Previous experience in pharmaceutical sales is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to persuade and influence healthcare professionals.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Knowledge: Basic understanding of medical terms, pharmacology, and disease areas related to the products.
• License: Must have a valid driver's license.
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• Achievement of sales targets and market share growth.
• Number of effective calls and visits to HCPs.
• Development of strong customer relationships.
• Feedback and insights gathered from the field.

Work Environment:

• Field-based role with frequent travel within the assigned territory.
• Regular visits to hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies.
