El-Shaddai International School was founded in September 1994 as a nursery school with few pupils and three teachers, including the proprietress in a rented building at Olorunsogo street, Ikirun. The school started gaining popularity through the help of God and application of the ‘special’ Montessori Method of teaching, which helped to greatly improve the performances of pupils beyond what was existing in and around Ikirun community before the establishment of the school.

Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our secondary school faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching physics and fostering an engaging learning environment that motivates students to excel in both academic and practical aspects of the subject.
You will be responsible for planning lessons, delivering high-quality instruction, and assessing student progress, ensuring they grasp core physics concepts.
Key Responsibilities
Lesson Planning & Delivery:
Develop and implement effective lesson plans that align with the national curriculum for physics.
Deliver engaging, interactive, and clear instruction to students from junior high to senior high school.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Assessment & Evaluation:
Design and administer assignments, quizzes, tests, and exams to evaluate students’ understanding.
Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their performance.
Track and report students’ progress to the school administration and parents.
Practical Instruction & Demonstrations:
Organize and supervise laboratory experiments to help students grasp practical applications of physics concepts.
Ensure safety procedures are followed in the laboratory during practical sessions.
Classroom Management:
Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning.
Promote discipline and manage student behavior in accordance with school policies.
Student Support:
Offer academic support to students who may need additional help outside of class hours.
Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities such as science clubs, fairs, and competitions.
Collaboration & Professional Development:
Collaborate with other teachers, especially in science-related subjects, to integrate cross-disciplinary learning.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and school events.
Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in physics education.
Additional Duties:
Take part in school duties such as supervising students during recess or at school events.
Assist in other academic and non-academic activities as assigned by the school administration.
Requirements
NCE, Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
A recognized teaching qualification or certification.
Proven experience teaching physics at the secondary school level.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and classroom management abilities.
Proficiency in using technology for teaching and learning.
