Job Description
The Outlet Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Outlet Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the outlet. This role focuses on supervising staff, ensuring smooth workflows, maintaining customer service standards, and assisting in the execution of sales strategies.
The Outlet Supervisor acts as the second-in-command, taking on key responsibilities during the manager’s absence and ensuring the outlet operates efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support:
Assist the Outlet Manager in the day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Ensure that all products are properly stocked, displayed, and organized according to company standards.
Monitor the outlet’s physical condition and report any issues (such as equipment malfunctions) to management.
Customer Service:
Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any concerns or complaints.
Assist customers in finding products, providing recommendations, and handling inquiries to ensure a positive shopping experience.
Staff Supervision:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the outlet staff, ensuring they adhere to schedules, policies, and procedures.
Assist in staff training and development to improve performance and service quality.
Motivate staff to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive work environment.
Sales and Performance:
Support the Outlet Manager in driving sales by encouraging upselling and cross-selling among staff.
Monitor daily sales performance and suggest improvements to achieve sales goals.
Ensure that sales promotions and marketing strategies are effectively implemented within the outlet.
Inventory and Stock Control:
Monitor inventory levels, check stock availability, and ensure timely restocking of shelves.
Assist in stock-taking activities and report any discrepancies to the Outlet Manager.
Financial Duties:
Assist with cash handling, including opening and closing tills, preparing daily sales reports, and ensuring accurate cash flow.
Ensure that all financial transactions are processed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure that the outlet complies with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Conduct routine safety checks to ensure the environment is safe for both customers and employees.
Job Requirements
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a retail or supervisory role.
Experience in customer service and handling cash.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficient in retail management software and basic computer applications (MS Office, etc.).
Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve conflicts effectively.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Sales-driven with the ability to motivate staff to meet targets.
Other Requirements:
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently when needed.
Salary
N100,000 - N120,000 monthly.
