Job Description
We are seeking a results-driven eCommerce Officer. In this role, you’ll lead our online retail strategy and enhance our website's visibility.
You will oversee and be responsible for the eCommerce operations while implementing effective SEO strategies to drive traffic and increase conversions.
You will collaborate with marketing, web development, and content teams to achieve business objectives and ensure a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the overall eCommerce strategy to improve the online visibility of the brand, achieve sales targets, and enhance customer experience.
Possess a strong knowledge of the eCommerce space including competitive strategies, marketing strategies, product development, consumer research, usability best practices, and industry trends.
Manage day-to-day eCommerce operations, including product listings, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
Monitor and analyze website performance metrics, including traffic, conversions, and revenue, and make data-driven decisions to improve results.
Synthesize information to clearly communicate key learnings, actionable strategy, and testing opportunities, and recommend new opportunities to internal stakeholders and partners.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, logistics, customer service) to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
Provide guidance and support to other team members on e-commerce SEO best practices and strategies
Optimize website content, product descriptions, and metadata to improve search engine rankings.
Implement on-page and off-page SEO best practices to drive organic traffic.
Monitor website performance using analytics tools and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in e-commerce SEO trends, algorithm changes, and industry best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in e-commerce management, digital marketing, and SEO (Experience in the retail fashion industry is an added advantage)
Proven track record of driving online sales and improving website rankings.
Proficiency in eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce) and digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush).
Familiarity with popular Content Management Systems such as WordPress, Shopify, Magento, HubSpot, etc.
Knowledge of Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Instagram, FaceBook, and LinkedIn advertising platforms
Google AdWords and Google Analytics certifications a plus
Ability to build reporting based on web behavior and key SEO metrics
Able to effectively operate and complete complex tasks with minimal oversight
Strong creative aptitude, including a keen eye for design and copywriting
Strong visual, and verbal presentation analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
