Job Overview / Summary

• With strict attention to safety, hygiene and excellent client service, the facilities manager oversees all aspects of building functions and guarantees the safety and functionality of all facilities while working alongside security and maintenance staff to ensure our buildings and grounds are properly and well serviced.
• Other duties include running routine safety inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, maintaining records, and supervising facilities staff. The facilities manager also ensures efficient and effective delivery of logistics and other support services.

Job Description / Objectives

• Ensure all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures
• Maintain equipment and building provisions to meet health and safety requirements
• Organize and plan building/ facility maintenance
• Supervise facilities admin staff and communicate with external contractors and vendors
• Handle insurance contracts
• Keep building and all facilities up to code and accurately follow maintenance protocol

Job Responsibilities

• Delegate cleaning and maintenance responsibilities to staff, supervisors and team members in general
• Run routine maintenance inspections
• Monitor interior and exterior areas of building for cleanliness and general conservation
• Prepare and implement project budgets and timeframes
• Comply with all health, hygiene and safety policies and procedures
• Support maintenance and instalment services as needed
• Reporting metrics to key stakeholders and management

Educational requirements

• Education: O.N.D., H.N.D or bachelor’s degree in any management-related field, Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential, or equivalent
• Contract / facility management with a minimum of 3 years work experience in estate management, building or any related field.

Job Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge Microsoft Office Suites/ Application packages.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, structural, electrical engineering skills
• Knowledge of HVAC and other building systems
• Excellent facilitation and organizational skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Professional project management skills
• Keen attention to safety and top-notch client service.
• Great leadership and problem-solving skills.
