The Federal College of Education, Abeokuta was stashed in 1976, and occupies a land area of 632.95 hectares along the Abeokuta - Ibadan Road, Osisle, Abeokuta, Ogun State. The philosophy of the College is to produce professionally trained teachers who will stand the test of time in their areas of specialization and be responsive to societal needs in the delivery and pursuit of educational excellence.

Job Title: Registrar
Location: Abeokuta, Ogun
Duties
The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the College and is responsible to the Provost for the general administrative work and running of the College.
Notably, the Registrar shall:
Keep all records of staff and students.
Conduct and receive all correspondences of Council and Management.
In addition to other duties conferred by the Federal Colleges of Education Act, 2023, be the Secretary to Council, Management Committee, Academic Board, and any Committee of Council.
Perform any other function, which the Council or Provost may so direct.
Qualifications
Candidates for the post of the Registrar should possess the following:
A good honors Degree in any of the Social Sciences / Arts subjects from any recognized institution of higher learning.
Must possess a relevant master's degree from a recognized institution of higher learning with at least 18 years of cognate work experience. Possession of a Doctorate Degree is an added advantage.
Must have been a Deputy Registrar on CONTEDISS 15.
Evidence of continuous mandatory professional development.
Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Must be a member of a recognized professional body in a relevant field.
The successful candidate must not be above the age of fifty-nine (59) years at the time of taking up the appointment.
Tenure
The appointment is for a single term of five (5) years only, beginning from the effective date of appointment.
Salary
The salary and fringe benefits attached to the post are as applicable to the post of a Registrar in all Federal Colleges of Education in Nigeria and as may be determined from time to time by the Federal Government.
