Job Description
We are looking to hire an Head of IT who is responsible for the management and oversight of all information technology operations within the company.
The candidate will primarily be responsible for maintenance and sustenance of traditional IT related tools and function within the organization, including but not limited to hardware administration, software management, point-of-sale systems, power solutions, hardware administration, websites, inventory management systems, enterprise resource planning systems, network and infrastructure & security and compliance systems.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement IT strategies and systems that align with the overall business strategy of the company
Develop and drive the company’s overall digital transformation strategy and roadmap
Review existing internal business processes and identify areas of improvement
Evaluate and identify new technologies and software that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the IT systems.
Establish and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the security and integrity of the company’s data and systems.
Supervise the IT team to ensure they perform their roles efficiently and effectively.
Monitor the performance of the IT systems and infrastructure and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the organization's IT systems.
Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for IT projects.
Develop and implement IT security policies and procedures to protect the organization’s data and systems from internal and external threats.
Conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities in the organisation's IT systems.
Manage relationships with IT vendors and financial aggregators, ensuring that they deliver their services in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions. Negotiate contracts with IT vendors, ensuring that the company receives the best value for money.
Develop and execute a comprehensive digital transformation strategy that aligns with the organization's goals, focusing on digital agility, efficiency, and future-readiness.
Identify, evaluate, and implement digital solutions and platforms that enhance productivity, streamline operations, and provide a competitive edge.
Champion the effective use of data by establishing data-driven decision-making processes and analytics practices across the organization.
Foster a culture of innovation by inspiring and guiding teams to explore new technologies and methodologies that can drive the organization forward.
Lead the change from paper-based workflows to digitized processes, ensuring smooth transitions and optimizing efficiency.
Collaborate with various departments to understand their digital needs, tailor solutions, and facilitate alignment with the overarching digital strategy.
Implement robust security measures to protect digital assets and ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations.
Develop and oversee training programs to equip staff with the necessary digital skills and knowledge to adapt to digital workflows effectively.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of digital transformation initiatives, and continuously optimize them.
Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality digital solutions and services.
Qualifications
10 - 11 years of experience in IT management
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in Multi-Location Business Environments, digital transformation and systems management.
Experience and strong understanding of modern digital technologies and trends. E.g., Java Script, Python etc.
Must have skills:
Strong Interpersonal Skill, resilience, experience in navigating through a myriad of challenges and strong communication skills between top management and junior employees.
Excellent leadership and team management skills with experience in leading and developing a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders.
Exceptional project management skills to effectively plan and execute systems initiatives.
