Feed Avenue operates in import, formulation and distribution processes of premixes and ingredients essential for animal nutrition (Poultry, Swine, Cattle, Fish, Horse and small ruminants). Details of each mission:
Export Operations Management:
Plan, coordinate, and oversee the entire export process, ensuring compliance with export regulations, standards, and international best practices.
Manage export documentation, including bills of lading, certificates of origin, export licenses, and all other legal requirements for shipment.
Monitor shipments, ensuring that the transportation and delivery of goods align with the agreed timelines and quality standards.
Coordinate with customs brokers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and clearing agents to ensure efficient and smooth export operations.
Stakeholder Relations:
Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in the export sector, including customs authorities, clearing agents, shipping lines, and government regulatory bodies.
Liaise with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with national and international export regulations.
Act as the primary point of contact for all matters related to export operations.
Regulatory Compliance & Policy Management:
Stay updated with Nigeria’s export laws, government policies, and international trade regulations, and ensure the organization’s operations are compliant.
Implement export strategies that align with government incentives, trade agreements, and emerging opportunities within the export sector.
Identify and mitigate risks related to export operations, ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Supply Chain & Logistics:
Oversee and manage export logistics, including air freight, ocean freight, and barging systems, ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery of goods.
Collaborate with the Operations and Production teams to manage inventory, shipping schedules, and cost-effective transportation routes.
Optimize the company’s logistics and distribution channels, seeking continuous improvements in export performance and profitability.
Freight & Cargo Management:
Stay Manage freight negotiations and contracts with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and transport companies, ensuring competitive pricing and high service levels.
Evaluate different modes of transport (sea, air, and land) to determine the most effective and efficient logistics solutions for the company’s export needs.
Customer & Supplier Relationship Management:
Ensure exceptional customer service for international clients by maintaining strong communication and resolving any issues related to shipments or documentation.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring product quality and availability for export markets.
Performance Reporting & Analytics:
Prepare and present monthly reports on export performance, identifying key trends, challenges, and areas for improvement.
Conduct regular market research to stay informed of global trade patterns and identify new export opportunities.
Requirements
Theoretical and practical knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in export operations within Nigeria, with proven working relationships with customs, clearing agents, shipping lines, and other stakeholders.
Extensive knowledge of Nigeria’s export regulations, government policies, and international trade agreements.
Strong understanding of shipping methods, freight management, air cargo, and barging systems.
Experience in managing large-scale export operations, including compliance, logistics, and risk management.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and export management software.
Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
Technical and methodological know-how:
Proficient in using quality management software and MS Office Suite.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple export projects simultaneously.
