Job Summary
The Project Manager is to work with the Project Manager to provide leadership, coordinate, and monitor the implementation of Oil and Gas engineering services to T7 project in line with the NNLG guidelines.
Responsibilities
Strategic Tasks:
Responsible for planning the project in order to accomplish its goals within constraints such as Time, cost and agreed quality standards.
Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing Needs and requirements.
Operational Responsibilities:
Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand project outcomes.
Ensure controlled documents are reviewed, updated, and approved as required.
Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes.
Responsible for producing and maintaining detailed project plans, critical path analysis.
Monitor the project budget performance against approved activities in liaison with the project accountant and advise the Project manager, and Management in line with Project guidelines.
Develop and monitor the implementation of the risk register, develop mitigation measures against risks for tracking and reviewing risks as they occur during the life of the Project
Monitor the implementation and compliance to the project controls/protocols, ensuring that all expenditures are accounted for in line with client requirements
Weekly and monthly progress reports
Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing and Monitor receivables for project
Follow up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices
Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management
Reports issues to Top Management regarding financial performance, workload status, potential legal issues, and potential opportunities
Responsible for the project’s commitment to quality standards
Develop and implement risk control measures that have been identified as part of the risk assessment process.
Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
Encourage and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain a competent “project team” through coaching and mentoring, giving constructive feedback, and capacity development.
Qualifications & Experience
The Project Manager shall have as a minimum, a recognized Bachelor’s degree or similar educational qualification in a relevant branch of engineering, and be a chartered engineer, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience in project planning and supervision of engineering design and construction associated with oil/gas production and processing facilities.
Ability to manage interfaces between sub-contractors, vendor specialists and other projects.
Ability to manage risks and opportunities towards achievement of project objectives.
Excellent communication skills and ability to manage a large group of people and a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team set. Ability to lead, motivate, train and develop the technical and management skills of team.
Knowledge of management of Community Relations in the Niger Delta. Working knowledge of a broad range of Facilities and Project engineering, systems, tools and practices.
The Project Manager shall have Mastery competency in Project management.
