Role Overview

• The Copywriter will be responsible for crafting inspiring, clear, and engaging written content for the church’s various communication channels.
• This role is key in conveying the church’s message and mission through well-written and impactful text.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Write and edit content for newsletters, websites, social media, promotional materials, and sermon notes. Ensure all content is aligned with the church’s voice and mission.
• Collaboration: Work with other departments to gather information and develop content that supports the church’s programs and initiatives.
• Editing and Proofreading: Review and refine content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to the church’s style guidelines.
• Content Strategy: Assist in developing content strategies that support the church’s communication goals and engage the target audience.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional writing experience, preferably in a religious or non-profit context.
• A portfolio of writing samples is required.

Preferred Skillset:

• Writing Skills: Exceptional ability to write clear, persuasive, and engaging copy for various formats (web, print, social media, etc.).
• Creativity: Ability to create compelling and original content that resonates with target audiences.
• SEO Knowledge: Understanding of SEO best practices and keyword optimization.
• Research Skills: Conducting thorough research to produce accurate and relevant content.
• Editing and Proofreading: Strong skills in editing and proofreading to ensure error-free content.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to write in different tones and styles as required by various projects.
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
