Job Summary

• Coollink.ng is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Account Officer to join our finance team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous financial records.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Transactions:

• Process and record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.

Accounts Management:

• Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and handle invoicing, billing, and payment processing.
• Track expenses and ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions.
• Assist in managing vendor and client accounts, ensuring timely reconciliation.

Financial Reporting:

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
• Prepare and present accurate financial statements and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasting financial trends.

Bank Reconciliation:

• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies between company records and bank statements.
• Liaise with banks to resolve issues related to financial transactions.

Tax and Regulatory Compliance:

• Assist in ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
• Assist in preparing tax reports and supporting documentation for audits.

Audit Support:

• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial data and documentation.
• Ensure proper filing and storage of all accounting-related documents for easy retrieval during audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1- 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or relevant accounting qualification.
• Experience in the technology or telecommunications industry.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
