We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Petro-chemical sales specialist to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for new products market entry, building brand awareness, competing with existing suppliers, driving sales and expanding our market share and assisting in the importation process with an initial focus on polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), and polystyrene (PS).
As we explore opportunities, you will also play a key role in introducing and selling additional petrochemical products, such as chemical fibers and synthetic rubber.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective market entry and sales strategies to achieve sales targets for PP, PE, and PS products. Identify potential clients and partners, generate leads, and build a strong pipeline of opportunities.
Competitive Analysis: Analyze the competitive landscape, identify existing suppliers, and develop strategies to position the new products effectively against them.
Market Expansion: Identify and explore new market opportunities for existing and potential petrochemical products.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure long-term business partnerships.
Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of the petrochemical products offered, including PP, PE, PS, and other potential products like chemical fibers and synthetic rubber. Provide in-depth product knowledge and technical support to customers, helping them understand the benefits of switching to the new product.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to ensure profitability while competing with established brands.
Business Development: Collaborate with the business development team to identify and pursue opportunities to introduce new petrochemical products to the market, and to sustain the business growth.
Market Analysis: Stay up to date on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to continually refine the sales strategy.
Sales Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for management review.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in sales, preferably in the petrochemical or polymer industry.
Skills:
Strong understanding of petrochemical products, particularly PP, PE, and PS.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and expanding market share.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
