Job Description

• The Bakery Operations Manager will coordinate and oversee our organization’s operations. The Bakery Operations Manager ensures that the bakery operates efficiently and profitably while maintaining its reputation and increasing customer base.
• The Bakery Operations Manager supervises the baking staff and works with cross-functional teams while managing all bakery operations.
• The Bakery Operations Manager’s duties include formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring material and resources and securing compliance.
• You should be ready to mentor your team members, find ways to increase quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels.

Duties

• Coordinating daily operations at the bakery
• Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
• Ensure that products meet company quality and quantity standards
• Enforce staff compliance with food health and safety regulations
• Ensuring that the bakery is adequately stocked with quality baking ingredients and supplies.
• Ensuring that baking tools, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Developing and implementing advertising and marketing strategies to attract new customers
• Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
• Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
• Regularly review product quality
• Organize and supervise shifts
• Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
• Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
• Estimate future needs for goods, utensils and cleaning products
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
• Manage bakery’s good image and suggest ways to improve it
• Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
• Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
• Communicate to the CEO on a daily basis regarding operational performance and order completion status
• Train staff to produce high quality bakery products
• Perform quality checks on all products
• Find ways to increase quality of customer service.

Requirements

• Minimum of six (6) years working experience as a Bakery Manager
• Cognate knowledge of different baking techniques and procedures
• Effective Communication skills
• Excellent Problem-solving skills
• Must be articulate and have great negotiation skills
• Team player
• Business savvy
• Excellent planning and management skills
• Friendly and warm persona
• Digital marketing , content creation and copywriting skills will give an added advantage
• Preferably female
• Must reside in Ikeja.
