Stella Maris Schools is a renowned educational institution that was established over 25 years ago. Presently, Stella Maris Schools has campuses in three (3) strategic locations in Abuja. This reputable Institution is known for the priority it has placed on delivering top class education and developing the social skills of its wards.
We are seeking a highly efficient and skilled IT Manager with expertise in both hardware and software management to oversee and support the technology needs across three school branches.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the school's IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation of all IT systems, and providing timely support to staff, students, and administrators.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Management:
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of all hardware and software systems across the three school campuses.
Manage servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
Conduct regular maintenance checks and ensure data backup protocols are followed.
Technical Support:
Provide timely and effective IT support to staff and students, addressing hardware and software issues.
Troubleshoot network problems, printer issues, and other technical difficulties in classrooms and administrative offices.
Train staff on new software and hardware systems to maximize efficiency.
Hardware Management:
Manage all school hardware, including computers, printers, interactive whiteboards, projectors, and other technological devices.
Coordinate with vendors for procurement, repairs, and upgrades of hardware equipment.
Software Management:
Ensure all software systems, including educational platforms, security software, and management tools, are up to date and functioning efficiently.
Oversee the management of school databases, ensuring data accuracy and security.
Recommend and implement software solutions that improve the teaching, learning, and administrative processes.
Network Administration:
Manage school-wide networks, ensuring seamless internet connectivity and robust network security across all campuses.
Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
Branch Coordination:
Coordinate IT operations across all three school branches, ensuring that each campus has the necessary technical resources and support.
Visit each campus regularly to oversee IT infrastructure and address any unique technological needs.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the IT budget for the school, ensuring cost-effective solutions for technology needs.
Maintain an inventory of all IT assets and ensure cost-efficient procurement practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in IT management, preferably in an educational environment.
Strong knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with staff, students, and external vendors.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage IT operations across multiple branches.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with school management software and educational technology tools.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).
Experience in IT project management.
