Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our team as the Head of Business Development for our Data Solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our business development & sales team, developing and implementing strategic sales plans, and driving revenue growth through the sale of our innovative Data Solutions.
The Head of Business Development will play a key role in shaping the company's sales strategy, building and maintaining client relationships, and ensuring the achievement of saIes targets.
Responsibilties
Develop the sales plan. Prepare forecasts and KPI reporting for the sales and Business Development team for use in organizational planning, financial forecasting, budget setting and strategic planning.
Provide visionary leadership to the Business Development and sales team, setting clear goals and expectations.
Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Work closely with the executive team to develop and refine the company's sales strategy.
Identify market trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for growth.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
Collaborate with the pre-sales and technical teams to ensure alignment between client needs and proposed IT solutions.
Lead business development initiatives to expand the company's client base.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the IT solutions market.
Streamline and optimize the sales process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Implement best practices for sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting
Develop and execute strategies to upsell and cross-sell IT solutions to existing clients.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
Use market intelligence to adjust sales strategies and tactics accordingly.
Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a cohesive and customer- centric approach.
Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships that enhance the company's digital offerings.
Develop pricing strategies and models for digital products or services.
Present the company's digital products/services to potential clients and partners.
Work closely with branch liaison officers to increase cross-sell services and products.
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
Proven track record of success in IT solutions sales, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior sales leadership role.
Strong understanding of the IT solutions market, technologies, and trends
Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
