Job Overview
We are currently seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to exciting projects that drive our success
The Mechanical Engineer will play a supervisory role to oversee the maintenance operations of elevators, generators, and air conditioning (AC) systems.
He will be responsible for managing a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability of all mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision and Leadership:
Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians e.g electricians, specializing in lift systems, generators, and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning).
Assign tasks and projects, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
Maintenance Management:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for lifts, generators, and AC systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Schedule and oversee routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Technical Expertise:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex mechanical issues related to lifts, generators, and HVAC systems.
Conduct root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures and develop solutions to prevent future occurrences.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
Prepare reports on equipment performance, maintenance costs, and recommended improvements.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
Conduct safety training for maintenance personnel and promote a culture of safety within the team.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments, including facilities management and engineering, to coordinate maintenance efforts and address any mechanical issues.
Liaise with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repair services as necessary.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
Assist in developing and managing the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising quality or safety.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s Degree is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and development
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and simulation tools.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience in Panel automation.
