Job Description
The Project Engineer will play a vital role in the successful planning, execution, and successful completion of projects.
Your responsibilities also include conducting site assessments, energy audits, installation of energy systems, participation in mini-grid projects, and capacity-building projects.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and implement project plans and schedules.
Contribute to the successful execution of projects, ensuring completion on time and within budget.
Perform engineering designs and technical analysis to meet project specifications.
Review and verify technical specifications, drawings, and data for accuracy and compliance.
Conduct detailed site assessments to evaluate project feasibility and determine the scope of solar energy projects.
Perform energy audits to identify opportunities for energy efficiency and sustainability improvements.
Oversee the installation of energy systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
Provide post-installation technical support, including troubleshooting, performance analysis, and maintenance guidance.
Participate in the planning and execution of mini-grid projects and other capacity-building initiatives.
Engage in risk identification and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies.
Support communication with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Prepare and submit tender applications and grant proposals, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Lead the end-to-end execution of solar projects, including mini-grids, home systems, and streetlights.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including technical specifications, progress reports, and financial records.
Provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders on project progress.
Ensure adherence to health and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Engineering.
Strong technical and analytical skills.
Proficiency with project management tools and software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to contributing to project success.
