Health and Development Support Programme (HANDS) is a homegrown Non-Governmental Organization that is officially registered in Nigeria. It was founded in 1995 with the primary goal of supporting the National Onchocerciasis Control Programme in Nigeria as CBM Onchocerciasis Control programme. Over time, HANDS has broadened its scope to encompass various initiatives aimed at improving public health, fostering development, and providing emergency services. HANDS envisions a quality life with equal opportunities in an inclusive society. The organization is active in the FCT and multiple states across Nigeria, focusing on controlling and elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), preventing blindness, promoting disability inclusion, offering clubfoot treatment, and providing reproductive health, gender mainstreaming and emergency response services. Job Purpose
The SPO will play a key role in designing, implementing, and monitoring programs that address the specific needs of the local population in North West Nigeria.

Responsibilities
The role of the Resilience Strengthening and Inclusive Life Activities Coordinator for the STILNN program in Katsina State is multifaceted and pivotal in driving positive change within the State and communities.
As the coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing all activities related to resilience strengthening and inclusivity, developing and implementing strategies to empower target populations, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful programme implementation, supervising and supporting staff, reporting progress to management, preparing detailed reports for donors, representing the organization at various events, monitoring and evaluating programme effectiveness, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.
Your primary responsibility is to oversee all resilience strengthening and inclusive life activities in Katsina State under the STILNN programme.
Developing and implementing strategies to enhance resilience and inclusivity among target populations is a key aspect of your role.
This requires a deep understanding of the challenges faced by the community and the ability to design tailored interventions that address these issues effectively.
By working closely with community members and stakeholders, you can develop innovative approaches.
Collaborating with stakeholders and partners is essential to ensure the successful implementation of programme activities.
By building strong relationships with key partners, such as government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and community leaders, you can leverage their expertise and resources to support the programme.
Supervising and supporting staff at the Katsina office is vital to ensuring efficient operations and the delivery of quality services.
Reporting progress, challenges, and achievements to the Disability and Inclusive Development Manager at the Head office is a critical aspect of your role.
Preparing and submitting comprehensive quarterly and annual reports to donors is essential for demonstrating the impact and accountability of the programme.
Representing the organization at meetings, conferences, and events is an opportunity to raise awareness about the programme and engage with stakeholders.
