The Federal College of Education, llawe-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria was established by the Federal government in 2023 to promote the production of qualified teachers at the foundation and basic segment of the educational sector. The College aims at being a world-class institution for the pursuit of academic excellence through teaching, learning, and research.
The College is committed to the production of well-motivated teachers with professional discipline and competence. Also, the College is charged with the responsibility to provide full-time courses in Arts and Social Sciences, Languages, Early Childhood Care and Primary Education, Science as well as Vocational and Technical Education.
The Governing Council of the Federal College of Education is hereby inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position below:

Job Description
The Bursar shall be the Chief Financial Officer of the College.
He/she shall be responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the College.
He/she shall be able to interpret financial regulations and coordinate the financial operations of the College.
He/she shall be responsible for giving periodic/annual financial reports of the College.
Requirements
Have a good honours Degree or Higher National Diploma or its equivalents in Accountancy or Finance from a recognised Institution of higher leaming.
Must possess a relevant Master's Degree in Accountancy or Finance from a recognized
Institution of higher learning.
Possession of a Doctoral Degree is an added advantage.
Must not be below the position of a Deputy Bursar on CONTEDISS 15 from a Tertiary Institution with at least 21years cognate experience as an Accountant.
Full registration with a recognized Professional Accounting Body such as ICAN or its equivalent.
Must be computer literate and proficient in relevant accounting applications
Evidence of attendance of a Continuous Mandatory Professional Development Course.

The Bursar must possess the following qualities:
He/she must be financial expert in financial management, accounting and budgeting
He/she must be of high integrity, transparency, and ethical behavior in handling
finances.
He/she must possess the ability to lead and manage a team of finance professionals;
He/she must be able to communicate effectively and advise various stakeholders of the college on financial matters
He / She must possess strategic thinking to develop and implement strategic thinking to develop and implement financial measures aligning with the goals of the college.
The candidate must be able to identify and mitigate financial risks.
The candidate must possess the ability to think ahead and plan for the long-term financial sustainability of the College.
Terms of Appointment
The Bursar shall hold office for a single term of five years only, beginning from the effective date of their appointment. The candidate should not be older than fifty-nine (59) years at the time of assumption of office.
The salary and remuneration are as specified in the conditions of service for College Bursars of Federal Colleges of Education in Nigeria.
