We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Business Development Officer must have a background in engineering and will be saddled with the responsibility for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and driving the company's growth.
  • The role involves researching market trends in power, electrical and renewable energy fields, along side developing business leads and implementing strategies, while collaborating with other departments and clients to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities.
  • Analyze industry trends and market conditions to inform business strategies.
  • Monitor competitors and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Understand client needs and tailor solutions to meet those needs.
  • Act as the point of contact for clients, addressing their queries and concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to develop and implement growth strategies.
  • Identify and pursue new sales leads and prospects.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the company's revenue goals.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients.
  • Track and report on sales performance metrics.
  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and other departments to align business development activities with company objectives.
  • Provide feedback to improve product offerings and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of business development activities and client interactions.
  • Prepare regular reports on business development progress and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of [2] years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
