The British International School (BIS) is a leading Nigerian International Secondary School, situated on a large purpose-built campus in the heart of one of Africa's liveliest cities. We offer a broad and balanced education to students aged between eleven and eighteen. The school is co-educational and accepts both day students and boarders.

Job Title: Business Studies / Global Perspective Teacher

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Summary

• We seek to appoint able and experienced candidates for the following position: Business Studies / Global Perspective Teache.
• As a Business Studies/Gbal Perspective teacher, you will be expected to plan and prepare well-structured, clearly presented lessons to IGCSE and AS/A Level students.
• Interested teacher must be enthusiastic and positive professional who can work as part of a team.
• He/she will be expected to teach Cambridge (CAIE) IGCSE level. Previous experience in delivering the British curriculum in an International School setting is essential.

Responsibilities
The successful applicant will also:

• Take part in, and contribute to activities and programs offered in the department and by the school
• Enthusiastically contribute to cross-curricular links and initiatives, and Leadership in Action activities

Requirements
All applications must include:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies or Economics. (B.SC/B.ED). A Postgraduate degree qualification will be an advantage.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching IGCSE Business Studies, with the Cambridge IGCSE Global Perspective will be an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
• Relevant certification or Teaching license is required. Especially IGCSE Certification and TRCN.
• An up-to-date curriculum vitae/cover letter detailing what each candidate believes he/she can bring to the role, with the full contact details of three referees. Please note that one referee must be the candidate's most recent Head Teacher.
