Job Purpose
This position will be vital in providing technical support to the Deworm the World program being implemented in Ogun state.
Working with the Senior Manager, S/He will ensure effective program planning, coordination, monitoring, and scale-up in the state.
The role will significantly contribute to managing the expectations of critical stakeholders in the state and ensuring the overall success of the school deworming program.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, South-West zone, the incumbent will be a highly motivated and flexible individual who applies initiative and is a detail-oriented problem solver.
S/He will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in engaging and managing stakeholders, work collaboratively, and effectively communicate with team members within the zone, organization, and program stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Implementation Support:
Support the day-to-day planning and implementation of the state's Deworm the World program activities.
Working with the South West program team, ensure the timely development of all program planning and policy documents or tools, including work plans and treatment strategy documents (timelines, micro plan, drug forecast, data tracking tools, operational guidelines, etc.).
Provide training support and draft key program implementation materials, including activity budgets, meeting reports, meeting agendas etc., for the deworming program in the state,
Maintain a good working relationship with key stakeholders and other implementing partners relevant to the deworming program in the state
Occasionally contribute to operational research projects such as desk reviews and/or case studies.
Coordinate with the South West team to develop and collate program communications materials, including photos, success stories, data points, consent forms, etc.
Pay close attention to detail to ensure that timelines are adhered to and that all milestones, such as training, meetings, and material distribution, are completed on time.
Monitoring and Evaluation Support:
Support the timely collation, validation, and submission of the state’s treatment data in each round of the deworming exercise and for other public health interventions.
Ensure strong support and collaboration with the MLE team on MLE-related activities such as training of independent monitors, program process monitoring, and coverage validation
Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation reports and provide supervision support to relevant stakeholders and project implementation activities in the state
Budget Management Support:
Oversight function on the state program budget, leveraging resource mobilization opportunities for improved program sustainability in the State.
Contribute to state program budget development and implementation
Support timely retirement and payment processing for program activities during and/ or after each deworming round in Ogun state.
Ensure strong collaboration with the finance team on state budget implementation and payment retirements.
Reporting:
Draft and share States level activity reports and updates on project results, case studies/ success stories, and lessons learned and the end of every deworming round in the state; manage the preparation, coordination, and execution for any country or global documentation
Ensure monthly tracking and reporting on the state's key program deliverables and milestones.
Develop and share state-level annual and quarterly work plans as agreed with the Senior Manager of the South-West zone.
Prepare and share technical reports and program updates on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis as well as other ad hoc reports, as required.
Others:
Ensure coordination and collaboration with other Evidence Action teams, project partners and with other relevant stakeholders in the state.
Contribute to internal working groups to leverage experiences and learnings across the state program geographies.
Perform any other program duties and tasks as may be required and assigned by the Senior Manager, South-West zone.
Key Performance Indicators
Two effective rounds of school deworming are completed annually based on an agreed program timeline, treatment strategy, and available medicine.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years’ experience in managing program work with community or social enterprises/NGOs.
Organized and self-motivated individual who is dedicated to excellence and can complete tasks with minimal supervision
Quick learner and problem solver who can quickly grasp program information and identify & act on opportunities for improvement
Strong attention to detail
Able to juggle competing priorities and deadlines and to communicate clearly and proactively when plans change
Demonstrated strong writing skills and project management skills
Tech-savvy and experienced in using a range of cloud-based tools and systems (such as Google suites and Slack), as well as Microsoft Office suite

Experience working internationally or with internationally diverse teams
