A reputable school in Abuja is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Admin Officer / Housekeeper

Location: Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT)

Key Responsibilities
Supervising Cleaning and Maintenance:

• Classroom Cleaning: Sweeping, mopping, and dusting classrooms daily, as well as emptying waste bins.
• Bathroom Sanitation: Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, replenishing toilet supplies, and ensuring the cleanliness of sinks, floors, and toilets.
• Office and Staff Room Cleaning: Dusting and maintaining cleanliness in staff offices and common areas.
• Corridors and Public Spaces: Cleaning entrances, staircases, and school lobbies to ensure they are tidy and free from hazards.
• Window and Furniture Cleaning: Washing windows, wiping down desks, chairs, and other furniture to maintain hygiene.
• Event Setup: Assisting in the setup and arrangement of furniture or equipment for school events, meetings, or assemblies.

Supervising Waste Management:

• Trash Collection: Collecting and disposing of waste in designated areas.
• Recycling: Managing waste separation for recycling purposes where applicable.

Supervising Safety and Hygiene:

• Health and Safety Checks: Ensuring that safety hazards, such as wet floors or faulty electrical equipment, are promptly addressed.
• Cleaning Supplies Management: Monitoring cleaning supplies and requesting restocks when necessary.
• Pest Control: Reporting pest problems and ensuring proper measures are taken to manage them.

Supervising Laundry and Linens:

• Linen Care: Washing, ironing, and maintaining linens, staff uniforms, or any school fabrics used during events.

Reporting:

• Maintenance Issues: Reporting any broken fixtures, leaking pipes, or other issues to the school's maintenance department.
• Inventory Monitoring: Keeping track of cleaning tools and equipment and notifying the administration if replacements are needed.

Additional Duties:

• Supervising Junior Staff: Overseeing the work of junior cleaning staff or assistants if applicable.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by the line manager or the school head.
