A reputable National Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) with Head Office in Abuja is recruiting suitable candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Principal Manager, Business

Location: Abuja
Unit: Audit

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that current and future financial and management systems conform to professional accountancy requirements and standards, and corporate policies, regulations, and procedures. Identify weaknesses in the internal control and accounting systems, procedures and processes and recommend revisions, where necessary.
• Carry out regular random/spot audit checks of cash transactions, procurement and materials handling procedures, bank reconciliation, financial accounting procedures, etc.
• Set objectives for the internal audit functions with reference to the range of activities to be covered for each unit in the organization.
• Appraise, develop, and train staff of the Audit Unit to meet the organization's performance standards.
• Prepare annual budget for all audit activities within the organization.
• Conduct special investigations or audit reviews as may be directed by the Chief Executive Officer and the Board.
• Ensure that company's operations are always in compliance with NHIA Operational Guidelines for HMOS.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a B.Sc / HND in Accounting or any other related discipline
• Must possess ACCA / ACA
• At least 5 years' experience at a managerial/supervisory level
• Relevant Post Graduate Degree
• Full membership of accounting professional body (ICAN or its equivalent)
• Minimum of 10 years post graduation accounting experience
• Minimum of 5 years post professional qualifications
• Experience in HMO business will be an added advantage
• At least 5 years' experience in HMO business at a managerial/supervisory level
• Proficient with Accounting applications (eg Sage Accounting applications).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience in a big hospital environment at senior level will be an added advantage
• Candidate for the above position must be highly motivated team player willing to go the extra mile;
• He or she must also possess good communication (oral, written & presentation) and interpersonal skills.
• Computer knowledge is a MUST.
