As our Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business development across Nigeria, specifically in Abuja(FCT). Your primary goal will be to innovatively drive our business growth, identify new markets, negotiate contracts, and forecast sales targets for our range of products, targeting end users and large-scale organizations.
This includes products such as fire alarms, intruder detection systems, CCTV, access control, monitoring, manned guarding, and other related services.
You will be tasked with identifying opportunities to enhance Cover Alarm’s portfolio and improve profitability by delivering tailored solutions to both new and existing clients. Working closely with the engineering and operations teams, you will facilitate comprehensive business pitches and presentations to clients, building a professional image and closing deals for the company.
As part of this role, you will work full-time on-site at our head office in Abuja and regularly coordinate with our field offices across the country in areas like training, progress reports, business updates, and ideation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a strategic growth plan for the company within Abuja
Identify new revenue opportunities and secure new contracts
Present and negotiate deals with partners at all levels of client organizations
Drive the execution of the company’s strategic plan and meet monthly sales targets
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth business operations
Manage budgets and provide accurate revenue forecasts
Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring project deadlines are met
Track and report daily, weekly, and monthly sales activities and pipeline in our CRM system
Qualifications
MSc., BSc. or HND in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably within the security, technology, or service industries.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at various levels.
A self-motivated and goal-oriented individual with a drive to achieve and exceed targets.
Knowledge of security solutions (CCTV monitoring, cloud storage, rapid response) is an added advantage.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
Reporting Structure:
You will report directly to the CEO/Executive Director and will be responsible for managing a monthly target for both profit and turnover. As a key player within the wider business development team, you will help generate sales opportunities across the company’s service portfolio.
