Job Description
The Business Analyst position will lead the analysis, documentation, and management of business requirements throughout the life of the various projects at RenMoney.
The role must ensure that requirements are fully understood by the technical team before solutions are designed and implemented.
This position will facilitate innovative solutions that meet the specified requirements and add value to the business. The purpose of this job role is to define business requirements, facilitate discussion and agreement on process design amongst stakeholders, develop business processes, validate business processes against the system(s), and conduct feasibility assessments of process and technologies within the organization’s strategic business plan.
The candidate will also be responsible for documenting current business process flows and technical integration.
The successful candidate in this position must be familiar with technology and business use of technology, which allows them to provide recommendations for business processes and product improvements in line with the business vision. Candidate must pinpoint how the organization can leverage its strengths and improve its weaknesses through various business processes.
Responsibilities
Perform requirements gathering and analysis to provide high quality and detailed requirements, ensuring the closest involvement with, and agreement from, the user community.
Produce and review data/information models and preliminary system architecture, as needed.
Create prototypes and simulations to provide an accurate, graphical user interface representation, thereby facilitating successful solution design and development.
Evaluate and communicate departmental strategy to IT and business staff.
Resolve conflicting end-user requirements.
Production of high quality and on-time Business Requirements Specification (BRS) documents, Business Process Flow documents, Test plans and relevant end-user training documents.
Model processes to clarify business requirements, and to enhance or re-engineer business processes, prior to, or in parallel with, solution design and implementation, as necessary.
Maintain knowledge of the IT industry; analyze the abilities of tools and technologies, compare with the need of the business, then recommend potential solutions to managers within the business.
Collaborate with developers to ensure adherence to business requirements and UI design specifications.
Develop training and support programs for implementations, as needed, and provide go- live post implementation support to business units.
Identify initial Business Case requirements & other pre-project activities (e.g., high-level requirements, project scope, and objectives).
Coach/mentor staff and provide technical leadership, as needed
Any other assignment as advised by management.
Provide weekly/monthly feedback reporting.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in project management, Information Technology or other related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years in the Business Analyst function. This experience must include a track record of supporting business applications, documenting business processes, and designing application solutions. Experience with mobile money and/or e-commerce projects will be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of best practices for user interface design
Understanding of modeling languages, graphical design and prototyping tools
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and business concepts to technical audiences
Understanding of current requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, and verification, and the ability to apply them in practice
Knowledge of process engineering and process improvements and ability to guide the user in identifying business requirements
Must be self-motivated and demonstrate a sense of ownership
Must be innovative and in tune with industry/market developments, ever searching for better ways, effectiveness and efficiency
Must be able to manage time, prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
Must possess relationship building, negotiation, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Must be a Creative, strategic thinker and solutions-minded
