Job Description
We are seeking a skilled SharePoint Compliance & Security Analyst to join the Dangote team. This role is essential in ensuring that our SharePoint environment adheres to all regulatory requirements and security best practices. The SharePoint Compliance & Security Analyst is responsible for overseeing the security and compliance of the company’s SharePoint environment. This includes managing permissions, conducting security audits, ensuring data protection, and implementing compliance measures aligned with industry regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage security policies and procedures specific to SharePoint.
Monitor and manage user permissions, ensuring that access is granted appropriately and securely.
Conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure that SharePoint sites are secure from threats.
Ensure SharePoint sites and data handling processes comply with relevant industry regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOX.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to implement and maintain compliance frameworks within SharePoint.
Prepare and manage compliance documentation, reports, and audits as required by regulatory bodies.
Investigate security breaches or compliance violations, document findings, and coordinate response efforts.
Develop and maintain incident response plans specific to SharePoint environments.
Implement and manage data protection measures, such as encryption and data loss prevention (DLP) policies, within SharePoint.
Ensure that sensitive information is handled securely, with appropriate controls and monitoring in place.
Perform regular risk assessments of the SharePoint environment, identifying potential security risks and compliance issues.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information security or any related field
Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in SharePoint security, compliance, or a similar role.
Proficiency in security tools and technologies, such as DLP, SIEM, and encryption solutions.
Deep understanding of SharePoint security architecture, including user permissions, encryption, and access control.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks relevant to SharePoint environments (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX). • Experience with SharePoint auditing and monitoring tools.
Understanding of incident response and risk management practices.
Experience with cloud-based SharePoint environments (e.g., SharePoint Online).
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 compliance and security features.
