Job Description
As a SharePoint Trainer & Technical Writer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs, as well as creating and maintaining technical documentation for SharePoint users across various units within Dangote group.
The ideal candidate will ensure that our employees are well-equipped to use SharePoint effectively, and that all documentation is accurate, clear, and accessible.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive SharePoint training programs tailored to various user groups, including beginners, advanced users, and administrators.
Conduct live training sessions, webinars, and workshops to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
Create training materials such as tutorials, manuals, video guides, and quick reference sheets.
Develop, update, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, system documentation, and FAQs.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly language.
Work closely with developers, IT teams, and business users to gather information and ensure documentation accuracy.
Organize and manage the repository of training materials and documentation, ensuring they are easily accessible and up to date.
Implement and maintain a feedback loop to continually improve training content and documentation.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and end-users to identify training needs and documentation requirements.
Provide expert guidance on best practices for SharePoint usage and adoption.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Communications, Education, or a related field.
Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Specialist or related certification.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in SharePoint training and technical writing.
Experience with instructional design and elearning tools.
Experience with multimedia content creation (e.g., video tutorials, interactive guides).
Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS).
Strong technical writing skills with experience in creating user manuals, guides, and online help systems
Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and MadCap Flare for creating and formatting technical documentation.
Expertise in document versioning, metadata management, and setting up document libraries in SharePoint.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git for managing changes to documentation and training materials.
Experience managing and organizing large volumes of content within SharePoint and other CMS platforms.
Experience with SharePoint administration, including permissions, site collections, and content management.
