Job Overview

• We are seeking a creative and highly motivated Social Media Manager to lead the digital presence of our pet store on the Island in Lagos.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy, engaging with our online community, and promoting our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy:

• Develop and execute a social media strategy to build brand awareness, increase customer engagement, and drive online sales.
• Manage and grow the pet store’s social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in social media, pet care, and retail, and adjust the strategy accordingly.

Content Creation:

• Create engaging, high-quality content including posts, stories, videos, and graphics showcasing products, pets, and store events.
• Collaborate with in-store staff to highlight special promotions, events, new products, and customer testimonials.
• Plan and execute social media campaigns focused on customer education, promotions, and pet care tips.

Community Management:

• Build and nurture an online community of pet lovers by interacting with followers, responding to comments and messages, and engaging with other relevant content.
• Encourage user-generated content by promoting customer testimonials, pet pictures, and positive feedback.
• Monitor and report on social media trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.

Analytics and Reporting:

• Track and analyze key performance metrics (KPIs) including follower growth, engagement rates, website traffic, and online sales conversions.
• Create monthly performance reports and recommend actionable insights to improve engagement and ROI.
• Adjust social media strategies based on data analysis to maximize results.

Collaboration and Cross-Promotion:

• Work closely with the team to align social media efforts with broader store campaigns and promotions.
• Collaborate with influencers, pet care experts, and local organizations to expand the store’s online reach.
• Coordinate with vendors and partners for product features, giveaways, and collaborations.

Advertising and Promotions:

• Plan and manage paid social media advertising campaigns to increase visibility and drive online and in-store sales.
• Optimize campaigns for audience targeting, budget allocation, and ad performance.
• Create and promote seasonal offers, discounts, and in-store events through creative social media promotions.

Requirements

• Available to resume immedialtely.
• Must Reside on the Island and be willing to work 5 to 6 times a week.
• Must be able to respond to customers and maintain customer relationshipon social media platforms.
• Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably in retail or pet-related industries.
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn) and their best practices.
• Proficiency in social media management tools.
• Excellent communication and copywriting skills, with a passion for storytelling and engaging content.
• Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Photoshop) and video editing software.
• Analytical skills with the ability to interpret social media metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong time management skills.
• A love for pets and familiarity with pet care products and services is highly preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with influencers and managing collaborations.
• Knowledge of SEO, website traffic, and Google Analytics.
• Ability to create basic photography and videography content of pets, products, and events.

Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 Monthly.
