Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Community Engagement Officer at 0 Emission Technologies in Lagos, with flexibility for remote work.
The Community Engagement Officer will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, managing community engagement initiatives, communicating effectively with diverse audiences, and overseeing project management tasks.
Responsibilities
Build, engage, and manage the community of installers and clients
Create a feedback system for enquiries, complaints and suggestions as regards service delivery
Support solar project development and acquisition
Support new market research and development opportunities, including emerging solar markets, energy storage, low-income community solar, and wholesale markets
Create online and offline channels for brand awareness and engagement of the organization’s solar products and services
Coordinate and track solar projects under development or acquisition phase through closing
Scout for newbie and skilled solar installers across the country
Organize free and paid installers’ capacity development programs
Drive growth and promotion of the organization’s service offerings through its coordination of its network of professional installers and technicians
Create massive awareness campaign programs among the public about the huge benefits of the organization’s solar products
Keep and grow the organization’s communities of solar installers and clients engaged across official social media channels and in-person events
Track and coordinate installation schedules among installers
Facilitate official communication and correspondence between the organization and field-installers (freelancers and full-time technicians)
Other assigned community-related tasks
Qualifications
Ideally, 3 years’ experience in the solar industry with focus in any of project management, process administration, deal execution, stakeholder engagement, account management and people coordination, etc.
Interpersonal Skills, Internal & External Communication Skills, Stakeholder Engagement Skills and an ability to manage multiple issues and clearly articulate outcomes, concerns and solutions
Leadership dexterity

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Entrepreneurial/driven and persistent work ethic
Adept at the use of various social media platforms
Demonstrated experience in community outreach and engagement

Understanding of solar fundamentals, and familiarity with the Nigerian solar community preferred
Project management certification is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
