Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Location: Lekki, Lagos
Job Description
The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes.
This role will play a key part in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with our business goals, managing employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead and inspire a team.
Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
Work closely with senior management to understand the company’s goals and provide HR support to achieve them.
Monitor and report on HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding.
Develop and execute strategies to attract, hire, and retain top talent.
Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.
Employee Relations:
Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts.
Implement and manage employee engagement programs to maintain high morale and productivity.
Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on HR-related issues.
Performance Management:
Oversee the performance appraisal process, including setting performance standards, conducting evaluations, and providing feedback.
Develop and implement performance improvement plans when necessary.
Support managers in identifying training and development needs for their teams.
Training & Development:
Design and implement training programs to support employee development and career growth.
Manage succession planning and ensure the development of high-potential employees.
Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments as needed.
Compliance & Policies:
Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
Manage employee records and ensure confidentiality and accuracy.
Compensation & Benefits:
Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure they are competitive and aligned with company goals.
Conduct regular salary reviews and manage the annual compensation review process.
Provide guidance on employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
HR Administration:
Manage the HR budget and ensure effective utilization of resources.
Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payments.
Maintain HR systems and records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in HR management, with a strong understanding of HR best practices and labor laws.
Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR policy development.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
Proficient in HR software and tools, with experience in HRIS systems being a plus.
HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
