Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research and Knowledge Management Specialist to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our research and knowledge management processes, ensuring that our organization effectively captures, stores, and utilizes knowledge to drive strategic decision-making and innovation.
The role involves conducting high-quality research, managing knowledge resources, and facilitating knowledge sharing across the organization.
Responsibilities
Research:
Conduct comprehensive research on emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in education, technology, and social development.
Analyze and synthesize research findings to provide actionable insights for the organization’s programs, projects, and initiatives.
Prepare research reports, policy briefs, and presentations to communicate key findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
Knowledge Management:
Develop and implement knowledge management strategies, systems, and tools to capture, store, and share organizational knowledge.
Curate and maintain a central repository of knowledge resources, including research papers, case studies, reports, and other relevant documents.
Facilitate the sharing of knowledge across teams and departments to enhance collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote best practices in knowledge management and ensure staff are proficient in using knowledge management tools.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of knowledge management practices and recommend improvements.
Thought Leadership:
Support the development of thought leadership content by providing research-based insights on key topics relevant to the organization’s mission.
Contribute to the organization’s publications, blogs, and external communications by providing expert knowledge and research support.
Represent the organization at conferences, seminars, and workshops, sharing insights and learnings from our work.
Partnerships and Collaboration:
Engage with research institutions, academic bodies, and other external partners to collaborate on research initiatives and knowledge-sharing activities.
Stay updated on developments in the fields of education, technology, and social impact to inform the organization’s strategy and operations.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to support research and knowledge management efforts.
Qualifications
At least 4 years of experience in research, knowledge management, or a related role.
Strong research and analytical skills with experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Proficiency in knowledge management systems and tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills.
Experience in the education or social impact sector is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
Familiarity with open-source research databases and platforms.
Experience in conducting impact assessments and evaluations.
Published research or contributions to academic journals or industry publications.
