We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Lagos

Reports to: Executive Director, Africa.

Description

  • Are you passionate about fostering growth and building strategic partnerships? Do you thrive in dynamic environments where innovation and leadership are at the forefront? Under 40 CEOs is looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our team

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Growth Strategies: Create and implement strategies to drive business growth, including identifying new market opportunities and developing plans to capitalize on them.
  • Lead Generation and Partnership Building: Identify, approach, and secure strategic partnerships that align with Under 40 CEOs' vision and goals.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential partners, sponsors, and clients.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities. Analyze data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Sales and Revenue Generation: Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets, including pitching to potential partners and closing deals.
  • Event Coordination and Management: Collaborate with the events team to plan and execute high-impact events that drive engagement and business growth.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, content, and operations teams to ensure alignment and support for business evelopment initiatives.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on business development activities, including progress on goals, challenges, and opportunities.

Qualifications and skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent is a plus.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably within a network or membership-based organization.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving business growth and meeting revenue targets.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
