Job Title: Environment, Health and Safety Officer (EHS Officer)

Job Summary
Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented EHS Officer with a specialization in environmental safety.
This entry-level role will support the implementation and management of environmental safety programs, assist with regulatory compliance, and contribute to creating a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
The successful candidate will gain valuable experience while supporting senior HSE staff and learning best practices in environment, health and safety management.
Responsibilities
Support Environmental Safety Management:
Assist in implementing and monitoring environment, health and safety policies and procedures.
Help conduct environmental risk assessments and audits under the guidance of senior HSE staff.
Regulatory Compliance Assistance:
Support in maintaining up-to-date knowledge of environmental regulations and standards.
Assist in preparing and organizing compliance documentation and reports for regulatory bodies.
Training and Awareness:
Help organize and deliver training sessions on environment, health and safety topics to employees.
Assist in promoting awareness of environment, health and safety practices through internal communications.
Incident Reporting and Management:
Support investigations of environmental incidents and accidents, including data collection and preliminary analysis.
Assist in documenting incidents and tracking corrective and preventive actions.
Administrative Support:
Maintain records of environment, health and safety activities, including audits, inspections, and training sessions.
Provide administrative support for environment, health and safety programs, including data entry and report preparation.
Stakeholder Communication:
Assist in coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders on environment, health and safety issues.
Support in addressing environment, health and safety queries and providing general assistance as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
1 -2years of experience in environment, health and safety or a related role is preferred, but not required.
Basic knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Work Environment:
This role may require occasional site visits and work in various environmental conditions.
The position involves standard office hours with the possibility of additional hours depending on project needs.
